Silk Road
Silk Road (2021) is a crime thriller film directed by Tiller Russell. Based on true events, the film chronicles the rise and fall of Ross Ulbricht (played by Nick Robinson), the creator of the infamous darknet website Silk Road. What starts as a revolutionary vision to create a free marketplace for goods on the internet spirals into a hub for illegal activities, including drug trafficking, which attracts the attention of law enforcement. The story follows Ross's journey from idealistic entrepreneur to fugitive and the relentless efforts of DEA agent Rick Bowden (Jason Clarke) to bring him to justice. Their cat-and-mouse game exposes the dangers of unregulated online platforms and the ethical complexities of law enforcement.
