Born on 1996-10-09 in Honolulu, Hawaii, Jacob Batalon is of Filipino descent. He has seven half-siblings: a brother and a sister from his mother, and three brothers and two sisters from his father. Batalon attended St. Anthony’s School and later Damien Memorial School, graduating in 2014. Initially pursuing music theory at Kapiʻolani Community College, he eventually shifted his focus to acting and enrolled in a two-year program at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.
