Comedy
Kick-Ass (2010) is a superhero black comedy film directed by Matthew Vaughn, based on the comic book series by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. Dave Lizewski (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) is an ordinary high school student and comic book fan who decides to become a real-life superhero despite having no powers, training, or special abilities. Armed with a costume and a sense of justice, he becomes "Kick-Ass." His attempts to fight crime attract attention, including that of Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage), a former cop seeking revenge, and his deadly daughter Hit-Girl (Chloƫ Grace Moretz). Together, they battle the ruthless mob boss Frank D'Amico (Mark Strong) and his son, Chris (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), who dons the villainous persona of Red Mist.
