Big Sur
Big Sur is a 2013 American drama written and directed by Michael Polish, based on the book of the same name written by Jack Kerouac. The movie follows Jack Kerouac, who, after gaining fame with his book On the Road, moves away from the pressures of it all to a cabin deep in Big Sur, California. During that time, he fights alcoholism, personal problems, and complicated relationships. The more he addresses these problems, the greater he is in a crisis from the inside amidst all the tranquility. The storyline is all about loneliness, fame, and self-discovery. His tormented girlfriend is enacted by Kate Bosworth while Josh Lucas and Radha Mitchell have pivotal roles in his journey.
