Personal Life

Born on October 18, 1954, in Independence, Missouri, Howard graduated from Truman High School and later earned an English literature degree from Columbia College. He has been married to actress Debra Winger since 1996, and they have a son named Gideon. Howard also has an older son, Sam, from a previous marriage.

Trivia

Before pursuing acting, Howard worked in various fields, including the Wyoming oil industry and on a New Mexico ranch. He has a sister, Joy, and two younger brothers, Jim and Kip.
