Born on June 3, 1985, in Romford, Essex, England, Luke Norris was raised by his mother. Encouraged by a local drama teacher who funded his audition, he joined the National Youth Theatre. He further honed his craft at the Central School of Speech and Drama, where he was awarded the Alan Bates Bursary in 2008. Norris is married to actress Joanna Horton, whom he met during a Royal Shakespeare Company production in 2009. Together, they have a daughter named Albie.
